NcStar Scope

We are looking at some of the great NcStar scopes that are available and have previously reviewed the NcStar combo scopes and the NcStar Mark III Tactical scope. Today, let’s look at the NcStar SRT series.

At first glance, the NcStar SRT scope looks similar to the Mark III scope. In fact, it shares several of the same characteristics, including the design, but there are 2 features the SRT has that helps it stand out.

NcStar scope

The first feature of the NcStar SRT scope that is different is the rubber armor that coats the scope. Not only does it change the look of the scope, it also protects it and eliminates any of the annoying metallic noises we have all experienced.

NcStar Scopes

Last time we looked at one of the NcStar combo scopes and we will look at one more today.

Today’s combo scope is called the Special Operations combo and it is a great set-up, especially for close-range shooting. The NcStar Special Operations combo consists of 2 main components – a Red Dot sight with an integrated red laser and a flashlight. Both the Red Dot and the Flashlight are mounted on a tri-rail riser (since there are only 2 components on the riser, there is an extra accessory rail should you want to add another accessory, like a laser sight.) The riser mount fits easily on a flat-top AR15 receiver, or any Weaver/Picatinny rail.

Also included is a weaver style ring to attach the flashlight to the riser, a remote pressure switch for the flashlight and lens caps.

NcStar AR15 Tactical Expert kit (contd.)

We have been reviewing the NcStar AR15 Tactical Expert kit and are now going to add an NcStar laser sight. If you need to catch up on the product release of the NcStar kit, you can start here.

For review, we started with the NcStar hand guard, then added an NcStar scope, and today we will look at the NcStar Green Laser sight.

NcStar scope

We chose the NcStar Green Laser sight for its ability to be used during the day. Green lasers are much more visibile in sunlight than red. Just remember to consider your application. A green laser is almost too bright at night, so red is the better choice. For the NcStar AR15 Tactical Expert kit, we include the green (contact us if you prefer red and we will be glad to substitute).

NcStar Green Laser

The NcStar Green Laser is an extremely bright laser sight in a compact package, fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and comes with a weaver mount and pressure switch. It also comes with batteries and ready for immediate use.

We continue looking at the NcStar AR15 Tactical Expert kit (our exclusive all-in-one kit to convert your AR15) today. We are going to add one of the most innovative scopes avaialable – an NcStar scope.

After laying a great foundation by replacing the handguard with a quad rail last time, we can now add some optics.

NcStar Tactical scope

The scope in the AR15 kit is an NcStar 3 Rail Tactical compact scope full of features. It is a 2X-7X variable power with a 32mm objective lens. It has blue illuminated reticles with the Mil-Dot crosshair. It has an integrated weaver base that easily fits on any weaver base, such as an AR15 flat-top receiver.
